For everyone who wonders where the word screef comes from...
"Screef is a word in the tree planting community meaning: "to clear a space, exposing the mineral soil, in order to plant a seedling."
Screef was born in the Kootenay mountains of British Columbia. Living in a mountain community and being a passionate snowboarder, I became inspired to create the style of clothing I loved. As a seasonal tree planter, I was working spring through fall in the forest, which gave me the opportunity to spend my winters snowboarding and creating Screef.
So, I guess you could say that my time tree planting really helped me clear a space in my life to start something new and exciting that would grow into a meaningful endeavour. Thus, naming my clothing Screef fit perfectly...Just like how I want my hoodies to fit.
Now living back on Vancouver Island, where I grew up, I have been designing and sewing my signature clothing since 2014. I enjoy making clothes for those who like to be a little bit different...like me! Screef is feel good clothing. One of my customers described her hoodie as, “a warm hug from your best friend”. So, pretty much, Screef is made for everyone who likes hugs.
I love being able to create anything that comes to mind, which is why I do what I do. I take pride and care in my work and it shows in the quality of my designs. I am driven by the endless love and support from my family, friends, and customers. The inspiration I get from the people around me is what makes this all so possible. Making people happy is what Screef is all about. Do what you love, love what you do!

All Screef clothing is sewn from the bottom up. It always starts with an idea that turns into a product. Much time and care is put into each garment to make it special just for you! All Screef clothing is unisex fit. The clothing we make is for everyone of all shapes and sizes and fits simply nice and cozy!
The hoodies are made slightly longer and slimmer than your average hoodie. All hoods and pockets are big and double-lined for maximum comfort, warmth, and durability. There is a uniqueness in the way the hoods are put together that makes them stand out. We have perfected the fit to make you the best hoodie you will ever own! And we stand by that 100%.
The clothing is made from carefully sourced out, high quality fabric, from a local supplier. All Screef clothing is sewn together from different blends of cotton, polyester, rayon (from bamboo), and spandex.
